Back in the A, Indian Pussy makes her mark ...

Indian Pussy left a wonderful mark at her FIRST dedication ...

Ok so, from what I understand, her dedication was art (of her, how egotistical hunh? ... ) in the inspired and familiar styles of loved artists Shepherd Fairy, Fafi, Osamu Tezuka, and Andy Warhol. This small two-part dedication was not only a shout out to her favorite artists, but also a "whad up" to her fans & friends. Though the show was mostly about our beloved Indian Pussy, she was more than happy to share her spotlight with her friends from Artistic Sole & One Vs. Many.

And Later On in the A ...

During my three-day tattoo guest spot at the City of Ink, I managed to take people's tattoo virginity, make new clients of some of the A's own, add on to some familiar work started at my tattoo home, Pinz-N-Needlez Tattoo, take on some new large body part projects, AND still had time to dabble in my love for tibetan-style art. 

Don't worry, we DID get to play a bit. I mean, what's the A without a little plAy ... right? ...

I was easily amused by the Braves Mr. Potato Head and dropped some major $$$ on my cheeks at Kolo ... I now have the most expensive cheeks south of the Mason-Dixon line (cuz I said so, so don't question it .. *smile*)

On one random day, we visited Criminal Records, hung out with the Mona Lisa at Raging Burrito, got to see the historical Sweet Auburn and the graves of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Coretta Scott king, and our Badass Comissioner Jay of the ever loved Munkisquad showed his style while taking it back with some vintage Gazelle Goggles ... okay probably not, but they looked dope!

TATTOO & TIP of the WEEK

This week's tip is a 2 in 1 ...

Tip 1: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT Be open to making an appointment with your artist. Be patient because your skin WILL STILL BE THERE. There's no expiration date on it so it won't go sour or anything. If an artist is suggesting that you make an appointment, I can almost guarantee you there's a GREAT explanation behind their recommendation.

Tip 2: GO WITH THE FLOW. Remember that we are people first ... just like you! We run late, unpredictable things happen, drawings may take longer to get just right - a whole host of things happen when dealing with skin. But be easy if things are shuffled around due to time. If "why" is a burning question, ask. What's the worst that could happen, right? ... Just like Tip 1, there's DEFINITELY a GREAT explanation behind behind the timely untimeliness of tattoos.

So, I'm in no way a fan of names on the body, BUT if they muuusssst be done, then make sure they're done well! 

If & when you're looking to get tattooed, look for the QUALITY of the work, not the price tag. Make sure an artist can give you what you're looking for & gives solid recommendations for ART that'll look good years down the line. 

If you have ANY questions, feel free to leave a comment & I'll be sure to answer them!
